International Exchanges
Ramapo College has had a partnership with Volgograd State Pedagogical University since 1990 and since then it has developed into a very successful relationship. Over the last seventeen years, we have exchanged over fifty faculty administrators, students and staff. Some of the AIS faculty who have been to Volgograd include Rosetta D’Angelo, Carter Meyer, Sharon Rubin, Thomas Heed, and Dean Jennefer Mazza. While there they have taught classes, met with faculty and administrators, presented academic papers and visited area schools and institutions.
During these years over twenty VSPU faculty have taught at Ramapo. Professors Olga Leontovich, Tatiana Ivouchkina, Elena Sheigal, Natasha Vasina, Ludmila Smirnova, and most recently, Margarita Tulnova are some of the faculty who have taught Ramapo students.
Team-taught, video courses on a weekly basis have been a unique and essential component of the VSPU/Ramapo partnership. In October, Dean Mazza, Dean Judith Jeney (Library), Carter Meyer, Olga Leontovich, Elena Bakumova and Thomas Heed will report on their team teaching between the two schools at the American Studies Associations annual meeting in Oakland, CA.
