Kelly McCartney ‘03

Ms. McCartney is curator of the Frederick County Historical Society in Frederick, Maryland where she manages a museum, historic house, collections care, and staff.  She also develops exhibitions. In January 2009, Ms. McCartney served as consulting curator at The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.  Her previous experience includes research archivist for The History Channel and several positions with The Hermitage, culminating with being named curator.  Ms. McCartney has given lectures about The Hermitage’s collections and has written articles for the organization’s newsletter.  She is a member of the American Association of State and Local History and the National Association of Interpretation.
