Rikki Abzug - (PhD, Yale University), Associate Professor of Management, Anisfield School of Business, Ramapo College of New Jersey.
A researcher of organizational governance, sector theory, social purpose organizations, and neo-institutionalism in organizations, Dr. Abzug is co-author (with Jeffrey Simonoff) of Nonprofit Trusteeship in Different Contexts. Dr. Abzug's research has appeared in publications including The Academy of Management Journal, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly (where she is on the editorial board), Nonprofit Management & Leadership, New York Law School Law Review, Organization Science, and Voluntas.
Before joining the faculty of the Anisfield School of Business, Dr. Abzug was the Chair, Nonprofit Management Program, and Associate Professor at Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy. In past years, Dr. Abzug was the Associate Director of Yale University's Program on Nonprofit Organizations and a faculty member at New York University's Stern School of Business, Yale and Wesleyan Universities. She has been a management and market research consultant providing consulting services in nonprofit and board development in the United States and Poland. Dr. Abzug was on the Board of the Association for Researchers in Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) and was a founding leadership council member of Governance Matters.
