Business Administration Major

Finance Concentration (ASB)

What is a Concentration?

A concentration is a focus on a more targeted field of the major. Some majors have concentrations in which you choose your course of study. These majors include Business Administration, Communication Arts, Music, and Social Science.

The Finance Program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, background and analytical skills necessary to manage money within a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment. The curriculum has a domestic and international focus, and primarily emphasizes improving managerial decision-making abilities.

Students completing the program are prepared for a wide variety of positions in business (such as financial analyst, securities broker and/or bank manager) as well as government and graduate school. Internship opportunities are available as are extracurricular activities in clubs related to the major. Every student works closely with an assigned faculty advisor from the major.

Students completing the Finance Program receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
