Student - Athlete Advisory Committee
What is a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee?
A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee consisting of two student-athlete representatives from each athletic team. This committee meets three times a semester to discuss regulations, policies, and community service projects which affect all our student-athletes.
The NCAA legislation mandates that all member institutions have a Student Athlete-Advisory Committee (SAAC) on campus.
Mission StatementThe mission of the Ramapo College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to serve as a voice of the student athletes. This committee assists in recommending policies and procedures for the operation of the intercollegiate athletics program. The other goals are the following:
- Promoting community service with all our athletic teams
- Create a vehicle in which our student athletes have a say in proposed conference and NCAA legislation.
- Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus
- Build a sense of community within all of the athletic teams
