Coach Fischman enters her second season as head coach for the Ramapo Women’s Basketball team. Fischman served as an assistant for the 2005-2006 season. She is a graduate from The College of New Jersey where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education. While at TCNJ Coach Fischman helped lead the Lions to an undefeated regular season; as well as a birth in the NCAA Tournament three consecutive years. She spent the 2004-2005 year as an assistant coach Clifton High School in Clifton, New Jersey.
Prior to coaching at Clifton High, Coach Fischman served as an assistant coach for Pascack Valley and Belleville High Schools, as well as one year at Caldwell College. For the past six years, she has also run an AAU team out of Belleville for athletes from 10-16 years of age.
Coach Fischman currently resides in Bloomfield, NJ.
Ashley Rossi - Assistant Coach
First year coach Ashley Rossi joins the Roadrunner coaching staff after a stellar basketball career at Dominican College. Rossi was selected to the All-CACC Pre-Season Team her senior season. On February 16, 2006 she scored her 1,000th career point. She is in the Lady Charger record books as the number one all-time shot blocker, 12th all-time in rebounding and 14th all-time leading scorer. She is ranked 15th in the NCAA Division II for blocked shots. With the leadership of Rossi the Lady Chargers made it to the Semi-Finals of the CACC league Championships and qualified for the ECAC Tournament. For her efforts she was named to the CACC All-Tournament Team and was selected two years in a row to the All-Met Writers Second Team.
After graduation Coach Rossi was picked up to play in Serie A in Italy for team, Acer Priolo, for Coach Santino Coppa. While overseas playing, Rossi was interviewed for national TV in Italy for Acer Priolo. She also played under Tari Phillips, a former member of the New York Liberty of the WNBA.
Rossi currently resides in Greenwood Lake, NY and is employed by AXA Equitable.
James Jones - Assistant Coach
Coach James Jones enters his first year on the Roadrunner coaching staff. Originally from West Haven, Connecticut, Jones graduated from West Haven High School. In junior year he was rated one of the Top 100 basketball players in the state of Connecticut. He then moved onto Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where he helped lead the team to a 30-2 record.
In his first year of college he attended Florida Southern in Lakeland, Florida where the team was ranked in the Top 20 in Division II Basketball. Jones then transferred to Felician College in New Jersey where he scored a career high 20 points in his sophomore year. Jones was the captain of the Golden Eagles during the 2006-2007 season. While at Felician, the men's basketball team made it to the Semi-Finals of the CACC Championships and qualified for the ECAC Tournament.
Coach James graduated from Felician College with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in May 2007.
