PLEASE NOTE: Not all positions are available each semester.
Job Title: Coat Checker
Unit: Foundation
Reports to:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet people, hanging up their coat and giving out a coat check receipt on arrival
- When guests leave, match the number on the receipt to the coat and return the coat to the guest
- Collect name tags or help give out information or programs
- Commitment of approximately three hours is needed for each event

Job Title: Driver
Unit: Roukema Center
Reports to: Jeremy Geller
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for picking up and returning the van and papework to proper authority
- Drive international students to local shopping center, NY doctor appointments, train stations, Social Security Administration in Glen Rock
- Occasionally drive to Newark airport (only in special circumstances)
- Assist the office with small errands that require driving
Other Responsibilties:
- Must be available at least one afternoon a week (around 1pm - 5pm) and for a few hours on Saturday or Sunday. There is flexibility and hours can be determined upon the needs of the international students if driver agrees
- Must have a phone number and email address which can be given to international students wishing to request a ride
Skills:
- NJ State drivers license
- Good driving record
- Familiarity with major highways and local roads
- Comfortable driving the RCNJ van
Job Title: Mailroom Student Aid
Unit: Central Receiving/Mail Services
Reports to: Frank Triolo
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sort and deliver mail as needed
- Assist with bulk mail preparation
- Assist with metering operations
- Assist with customer service and inquiry

Job Title: Central Receiving Assistant
Unit: Central Receiving/Mail Services
Reports to: Aidan Murray
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive packages from UPS, Federal Express, Comet or any tracking firm that delivers merchandise
- Mark packages and deliver to various units, record all packages and have unit secretaries sign them
- Filing requisitions from units
- Deliver boxes of paper (approx 50 lbs each) to all departments
Other Responsibiities:
- Clean storeroom and delivery truck when required

- Routing of delivery; know all delivery locations in the college
Job Title: J Lee's Attendant
Unit: Student Development
Reports to: Katherine McGee
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise J. Lee's during operating hours
- Uphold all policies and procedures
- Handle inventory
- Monitor television and game usage
- Prepare and/or restock refreshments and food, such as popcorn, etc
- Act as host or hostess for J. Lee's
- Assist Manager with programming and publicity and promotion.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Assistant Director of the Student Activities

Job Title: Roadrunner Central Attendant
Unit: Student Development

Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain day to day operation of Roadrunner Central:
- Open and close
- Maintain inventories
- Operate cash register
- Sell tickets, stamps, etc.
- Video and DVD inventory and rental
- Open and close
- Assist with coordination of theater / cultural events and trips
- Maintain signage and cleanliness of operations
- Maintain event sign up database (Provenue)
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Director of the Student Center

Job Title: Temporary Student Aid
Unit: Student Temp Pool
Reports to: Dianne McNally
Primary Responsibilities:
- To work in various units in the College on an "as needed" basis.
- To be available to the temp service coordinator as their schedule permits.

Job Title: Gay Peer Services Coordinator
Unit: Women's Center
Reports to: Katherine McGee
Primary Responsibilities:
- To offer peer counseling to students who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or struggling with these issues
- Serve as a reference person for the college community regarding gay issues
- Be a resource person for the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Coalition; assist the members to plan conferences and group meetings
- Collecting and organizing resources and information such as subscriptions, books and publications, job postings, internships, conferences, local resources, etc.
- To organize educational workshops about homophobia / heterosexism for college seminar and human sexuality classes
- Act as an advocate for students and a liaison between the gay community and campus departments to help them understand how gay issues impact on their programs, and how their programs impact the gay community
- Provide a safe, welcoming space in the Women's Center, particularly for people who are not heterosexual
- Work to ensure a supportive environment for gay, lesbian and bisexual students throughout the campus
Other Responsibiities:
- Assist Student Affairs professionals, especially Residence Life, in training groups such as Ras, Peers, etc.
- To draft yearly goal statements
- To track work with clients
- To attend regular meetings with supervisor
- To conduct formal self and supervisor evaluations semesterly
Skills:
- Successful completion of Peer Leadership Class or comparable training
- 2.5 Grade Point Average
- Demonstrated maturity and ability to deal with personal situations in a responsible manner
