 Permanent link

Five new temporary trailers will be installed over Spring Break.  The trailers will be placed to the north of the current trailers and will not have an impact on parking.

Temporary Walkway

 Permanent link

A new permanent walkway with stairs leading from the administration parking spaces to the plaza area in front of E-Wing (Mansion side) will be constructed.  We will start the construction of this walkway soon, in the meantime, we must install a temporary walkway because the main entry staircase will be demolished to make way for new construction.  The temporary walkway will consist of compacted stone so please use caution, flat footwear is recommended.  This should only be for 6 weeks before the permanent walkway is constructed.

We have commenced with the renovation of G-Wing and construction of Adler Center.  Very soon, we will have a large number of construction workers entering the campus. There is not enough area to allow parking for these workers within the site and they will be parking in the D-1 lot.

G-Wing and Adler Center for Nursing Construction Mobilization

 Permanent link

The College is underway in renovating G-Wing and building the new Adler Center for Nursing.  The Contractor performing the work will be mobilizing on campus within the next few weeks.  Part of the mobilization will be installing construction fencing around the construction site.  In doing so, half of the visitors circle will be fenced in eliminating the visitor reserved spots and bus pick up / drop off near the set of main stairs into the campus.  Our plan is to relocate the bus stop structure along the roadway in front of the Bradley Sports Center as done for other past projects.  We plan to have this in place no later than February 22.  The relocation will be for approximately 14 months.

G-Wing Furnishings

 Permanent link

The plan is to re-use a good portion of the existing furniture in the temporary trailers that will be on site during the next two years while construction is underway.

The current plan for demolition is to include a requirement in the specifications for the successful bidder to prepare and submit a plan for recycling and reusing materials, including furniture that won't be re-used in the trailers, to the extent practicable.

There might be office set-ups let over after the trailers are outfitted for use in "non- G-Wing" office moves, but timing might be an issue.

Core Entrances
