Message from the Assistant Dean

Photo: Kathleen Burke PhD, RNWelcome to the Nursing Programs at Ramapo College located in the new Nursing Learning Center. We take great pride in our programs and students. We have clinical partnerships that are unique in Nursing Education.

Clinical Partners, the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and The Valley Hospital have been designated as Magnet Hospitals by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Such a designation certifies each of these hospitals as Centers of Excellence in Nursing. These partnerships allow the students in our programs to experience nursing in some of the best nursing departments in the country.

Ramapo College has three major academic tracks in our Nursing Programs:

  • The Generic Nursing Program for individuals who are preparing to become a nurse
  • The RN to BSN track for nurses returning to school for the BSN degree
  • The MSN track to prepare future nurse educators

Graduates of all three programs are working across the United States in various areas of nursing. Some graduates are working within our own program. The opportunities are endless. All programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 500 Atlanta, Georgia 30326.

Mission of the Nursing Program

The nursing program aims to encourage our students to be citizens of the world. We encourage our students to embrace differences in each other, society, and other countries. Our goal is to expose our students to diverse societies, offer them opportunities to expand their worlds, change their lives, and shape their futures as leaders of global healthcare. Faculty members are challenged to become more intentionally global and creative in meeting the demands of the world’s population.Faculty members are challenged to become more intentionally global and creative in meeting the demands of the world’s population.
