  • Taxonomy (classification) and nomenclature of fossil footprints from the Late Triassic and Early Jurassic (~220-190 million years ago)
  • Paleoclimate, biostratigraphy and biogeography of the Newark Supergroup (eastern North America, ~220-190 million years ago)

More about Emma C. Rainforth

Emma Rainforth - Dr. Emma C. Rainforth has degrees in Geology from the University of Oxford, University of Colorado (Boulder) and Columbia University. Her primary research is in the field of vertebrate paleontology. She is the Director of the Sharp Sustainability Education Center and chairs the Climate Commitment Task Force, which is charged with charting the college's path to carbon neutrality.

In the Sustainability Studies master's program, Dr. Rainforth teaches in the Foundations of Natural Resources course and in the second year Project Development course. She will undertake supervision of student projects in the area of sustainability planning for organizations (K-12 and higher education institutions, companies, etc.), in particular leading toward carbon footprint reduction.
